Like all Swedish Church records, the Swedish Birth and Christening records vary. They look different in different parts of the country. The difference between a record from the 18th century and the 20th century is even larger. But each entry in a book is fairly similar, making it a little easier.
The trains connected Sweden in the second half of the 19th century. Sweden is slightly larger than California and in 1890 it had a population of 4.8 million. The train station in Åre, Jämtland County, was built in 1882 and made Åre a leading ski resort. The photo is from the 1890s.
