Navigator for Libraries and Organizations
Want to use Shortcut to Sweden: Navigator in your organization?
Navigator is similar to a living, searchable locality guide for Swedish genealogy—created and maintained by a professional genealogist in Sweden.
With a searchable parish map and directory, and databases for genealogy-specific translations and resources, Navigator assists genealogists, librarians, patrons, and others in researching the old Sweden effectively.
Give your organization access to up-to-date references to websites, books, digital book copies, and more, without having to stay on top of the field.
Professional Genealogist
Annika Höstmad
I’m a professional Swedish genealogist guiding you through the Swedish landscape to accurate genealogical research.
I’m the owner of the business Find a Swede and the creator of the platform Shortcut to Sweden, which gives international researchers native-level understanding of the Swedish records, history, and methods.
Navigator contains the tools I’ve built for my client research, accessible via the web.
Former Sillgatan, Herring Street, in Gothenburg was where Swedish emigrants waited to board ship and start a new life. A yellow 18th-century building on the same street is now the home of Find a Swede, connecting their descendants with ancestors in Sweden.
