Find a Swede respects your privacy and will use as little as possible of your personal information, for bookkeeping and delivery purposes. The personal information of living persons is protected through the EU regulation GDPR.

Your privacy as a visitor to our website

Your privacy as an email subscriber

We use Kit for sending emails to customers and newsletter readers. We track purchases and some link clicks to send you the correct and most meaningful emails. Your name is not requested by us, but may be stored as a consequence of purchases or signups to other newsletters. Likewise, signup source, and in some cases your location may be automatically stored by Kit.

Your privacy as a customer

We process your personal data (a) to perform our contract with you—e.g. delivering downloads or subscriptions [GDPR Art 6 (1)(b)], (b) to comply with tax and accounting laws [Art 6 (1)(c)], and (c) to run, protect and improve our website, which we consider a legitimate interest that does not override your rights [Art 6 (1)(f)].

By ordering through our website you agree that we can store, process, and use the personal information submitted at purchase. The personal information is used for the administration of your order and for tax purposes. Invoices are stored for 7 years in line with Swedish bookkeeping law.

Billing is done through third party Stripe (Stripe Privacy Policy). Your billing information is not accessible to Find a Swede.

We embed an interactive map from OpenStreetMap. The map sets no cookies; your IP address is processed by the OSM server under legitimate interest for abuse‑prevention. No other personal data is stored.

While we process your order your personal information is accessible to our web hotel Siteground as above. It will be stored offline for the legally required time and may be shared with The Swedish Tax Agency.

Find a Swede operates under the EU privacy regulation GDPR. You have the right to request the information that Find a Swede has stored about you. You have the right to have the personal information stored about you corrected, restricted, ported, objected, or deleted, with the exception of what is required by law as mentioned above.
